Right up to the present, many users have a problem finding a grinding nozzle with a suitable profile for their grinding tool, despite the broad range on offer. For this reason, numerous nozzles are soldered together in painstakingly detailed work. With OUTLINEFLEX, solutions of this nature are a thing of the past. Through opening of the grinding tool, the nozzle blank assumes its exact contour!
Adapted to suit the contour, the OUTLINEFLEX grinding nozzle ensures that the cooling lubricant system is optimised through its well-engineered parameters. The nozzle shape adapted to the grinding tool profile and an opening cross section dimensioned to suit the flow volume ensure a uniform cooling lubricant supply that closely traces the contour. Heat dissipation is also significantly improved. Other user advantages are the higher grinding quality and a considerable enhancement of cutting performance. In addition, the user-friendly design of the nozzle blank can be adapted easily and rapidly on the machine without damaging the grinding wheel surface. OUTLINEFLEX becomes the perfect solution for practically every application in combination with the variable VARIO flexible hose system from Legrom or other systems.
OUTLINEFLEX enables the achievement of a gap which can be precisely adjusted between the grinding wheel and nozzle blank. This facilitates direct influencing of flow conditions in the grinding gap, the contact flow and the pressure in the grinding gap. High cooling lubricant flows which are not positively impacting the cooling effect in the contact zone can be detected and eliminated. The nozzle, which is adapted to suit the contour of the grinding tool, is extremely close to the grinding wheel. As a consequence, the air cushion surrounding the grinding wheel can be almost completely deflected. This considerably reduces the volume of cooling lubricant required, as no turbulence occurs. As only pure cooling lubricant is introduced to the contact surface, the quality of the grinding process is additionally enhanced as a result.
The reduction of the cooling lubricant flow can also be exploited to configure machines with a lower motor/pump capacity, making them more energy efficient.
