The firm was founded at the end of the 1940’s as a mold construction and plastic injection molding company in Thüringen.

From 1961 - 2008 Legrom Company was located at Murrhardt-Fornsbach in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

Werner Reinhuber has been the sole managing partner since July 1999.

Legrom GmbH is a pioneer in the development of plastic bearing cages. The company has enjoyed a reputation since the mid 1960’s as one of the world’s leading specialists in the production of bearing cages made of engineering and high-temperature-resistant plastics. Legrom is an international partner in the roller bearing industry!

A further important activity is the development and production of spare parts for textile machines. Legrom employs patented manufacturing processes, and this has enabled the company to outstrip many competitive manufacturers of accessories when it comes to success of their products. An increased service life, considerable cost reductions and the supply of even limited quantities have made Legrom spinning accessories much sought-after products.

The Legrom Vario System was a further company highlight developed towards the end of the 1980’s.The plastic modular hose system is, as the name suggests, based on a modular principle. This enables precision conveyance of liquids (e.g. coolants, oil, water) or air to the desired location. This development represented the perfect solution to a major industrial need! Outstanding chemical resistance to coolants and numerous chemicals makes it suitable for a broad range of applications. The excellent pressure resistance, a high degree of positional stability (approx. 3G) and unlimited variation possibilities have also made the name Legrom famous in this area.

Legrom is certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.

Our company quality policy was determined by management and is examined regularly for suitability and effectiveness within the context of QM evaluation, being subject to revision if necessary. It takes customer expectations and needs into account, contains the obligations of all company levels with regard to fulfilment of fixed requirements and continuous improvement and provides the framework for determining and examining quality targets.
Our quality policy acts as a guideline for all personnel in the realisation of their work. Company management is responsible for ensuring that the entire company is familiar with the quality policy and that it is both fully understood and implemented.

Our quality policy manifests itself in the following guiding principles which are familiar to all employees and publicised throughout the company:

1. All employees of LEGROM GmbH are entrusted with the task of continuously improving the quality of our organisation and that of the parts and components which we manufacture.

2. Each employee is responsible for the quality of the products which he or she personally produces.

3. "Get it right the first time" is our motto - we want to produce quality, not check for it.
